| Ashley Homes takes center stage at the 2007 Parade of Homes |
Ashley Homes was one of 11 builders featured in the recent 2007 BIA Parade of Homes.
The tour took place at Pinnacle in Grove City. The 11 homes were fully furnished, decorated and landscaped. Over 30,000 people toured the homes during the 2 ˝-week Parade. Before the Parade starts, the homes are judged on several categories. Ashley Homes took the following honors:
- Gold- Exterior Design
- Gold- Master Suite
- Silver- Landscaping
- Bronze- The Great Room
"This is our first year in the Parade of Homes and we are extremely honored to
win 4 awards!" said Lisa Mets, president of Ashley Homes. "I wanted to prove that we
could compete with the big guys!" Lisa Mets is also the first female
builder in the history of the Parade of Homes.
Throughout the tour, the visitors vote for their favorite house and favorite
decorating. After the Parade is over, the votes are tallied and the winner
is announced. Ashley Homes overwhelmingly won the People's Choice Award for
both The Favorite House and The Favorite Interior Décor.
"Winning the People's Choice award is HUGE! Several people came back 2 and 3
times to see the house. Receiving all of the compliments and reading all of
the comments of the people who signed our guest book made all of the sweat
and tears worth it." The interior décor was done by Linda Cochenour of
Clarksburg. "It was a big project for her. The challenge was to take 6,300
square feet and turn it into a cozy, inviting home. Linda nailed the
French Country theme. She did an amazing job!" says Mets.

| Meet the builder |
As a single mom, I took a leap of faith and started my own business in 2002.
Once in business, I quickly realized that I didn't have to know everything; I just
needed to surround myself with people who did! From the framer to the accountant,
Ashley Homes is built on a team concept. My employees are an amazing group of
people, and I hope, after meeting them, that you will come to know them as family.
As a woman builder, I look at things a little differently. I understand your
needs from the initial design to the finishing touches. Whether its planning
the basement for future finishing, wiring for a plasma TV or matching the trip
lever on the commode to the faucet, you'll find that I try to think of all the
little details so you don't have to.
If you didn't get a chance to visit us at the Parade, please call us. Bring me your ideas,
dreams and floorplans; I'd love to help turn your dreams into your next home!
Blessings
